Unit 2: Nutrition & MyPlate
In this unit, students will demonstrate knowledge of healthy eating patterns and food sources related to MyPlate. They will also identify daily MyPlate recommendations for themselves. They will learn about the basic nutrients our bodies need to survive, which includes carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. They will learn the functions of each of these nutrients as well as food sources for each.
